SUPERSTARS CAMP 2018

 

Clontarf TKD Superstars Camp

Well done on registering your child to our 1st Superstars Camp. We held a Superstars sports day for our older students a few years ago and it was a great success. A special welcome to those who are not members of Clontarf TKD.


The Camp details are as follows.

 

Saturday and Sunday 16th and 17th June from 12.30 to 4.30

(packed lunch required...no fizzy drinks permitted and no food containing nuts)

 

The Superstars Camp will include some of the following mix of events and learning

  • Taekwon-do kicking and punching
  • Introduction to Taekwon-do
  • Games for fun
  • Games for points
  • Arts
  • Lots of Physical challenges for fun
  • Lots of Physical challenges for points such as
    • Shuttle runs
    • Obstacle course
    • Laps and endurance
    • Sprints
    • Tug of war
  • Self-defence for kids
  • Noodle Wars
  • Dealing with Bullies

 

All participants at Superstars will receive a free t-shirt. Allocated points for certain achievements will be collated and prizes presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the end of the camp with the winner also receiving a superstars trophy.

Children should bring plenty of water and a lunch break will be given, so a packed lunch is required. Some events may take place outdoors. Please note no doboks (TKD uniform) are to be worn for the event.


What to wear? T-shirt, tracksuit bottoms and trainers.

 

Please note…your child will be tired, your child will be pushed hard, your child will be awesome.

Cost is €50 per student. Each student has the option of bringing a friend who is not a club member at no extra cost. Friends must be registered prior to event registration closing end May. Anyone who does not register a friend should note that any friend brought on the day will NOT be permitted to take part.


Parents will not be able to stay in the hall for this event.

Children attending the camp will be supervised by

Gerry Mooney Head Instructor IV degree, Rebecca Mooney Assistant instructor II degree, Emma Mooney Assistant instructor I degree, Andreya Mooney Assistant instructor I degree, a number of junior colour belt students.
